Hello & Welcome to Affluent Appraisals by Phoebe Seward

My name is Phoebe Seward, and I'm the Personal Property Appraiser for you - the collector or inheritor of exquisite fine art
& antiques wanting trustworthy valuations.

In Other Words, I'm all about helping you make money & save money BY discovering the value of your assets.

Right now, I'm sure you're feeling overwhelmed and confused. You need someone with expertise who is  unbias, ethical, and will tell you the true value of your items without expecting you to consign or sell.

I understand your frustration. the art market is largely unregulated and decidedly obscure. only qualified professionals are capable of performing accurate appraisals.
assuming otherwise puts you at risk.

That is why I started Affluent Appraisals in 2015, to assist collectors and inheritors like you by appraising and documenting the values of tangible, non real-estate personal properties.

WITH THE RESOURCES I LEARNED WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY, I HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE TO APPRAISE A BROAD RANGE OF FINE ART, EXCEPTIONAL ANTIQUE FURNITURE AND DECORATIVE PIECES, JEWELRY, VINTAGE FASHION AND ACCESSORIES, AS WELL AS WINE COLLECTIONS AND CLASSIC VEHICLES.

I offer precise and accurate documentation that is thoroughly researched and above all else, provides verifiable evidence of value.

I am a master sleuth, member of the International Society of Appraisers, and looking forward to doing business with you.

Professional bio

Growing up in Houston, Phoebe graduated with a degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin. While attending graduate school at Rice University, she cut her studies short when she received an opportunity to move to London, England. Upon graduating with a Master's degree from Christie's Education in London, she was awarded the British Archaeological Association's Westminster Conference Scholarship for excellence in the research of Late Medieval English architecture and decorative arts.

Her auction career began at Morton Auctioneers & Appraisers, where she served as the primary contact and manager of all consignor accounts.  Phoebe was then recruited to work for Austin Auction Gallery, where she researched and cataloged a wide variety of property before quickly being promoted exclusively to the areas of fine art and furniture.

Phoebe returned to Houston in 2015 and is currently an active Specialist and Appraiser at Simpson Galleries while simultaneously putting her researching skills to work at Affluent Appraisals.
